BYFB is designed for students ages 14 and older who are beginning to explore their interests, digital identity, future opportunities, or an idea they may want to build or are thinking about college, careers, internships, entrepreneurship and what they want their future to look like. Students do not need to know what they want to do yet. In fact, part of the program is helping them identify their interests, strengths, values and what they might want to be known for.
BYFB connects digital literacy to something students can immediately understand: their own future. Instead of treating privacy, AI, social media, reputation, media literacy, personal branding and career readiness as separate subjects, the 10 course journey helps students understand how those pieces work together—and then asks them to apply what they've learned to their own lives.
Build Your Future Brand is a 10 course digital literacy and personal branding program designed to help students understand how the choices they make online can shape their reputation and future opportunities. Students explore digital footprints, privacy, social media, misinformation, AI, personal branding, content creation and career readiness—and then bring everything together in their own Future Brand Blueprint. The program moves from understanding the digital world to intentionally building within it. Students learn how their digital footprint becomes a digital identity, how platforms collect and use their data, how online reputation works, how social media can influence identity, how to evaluate information online, and how to use generative AI responsibly. They then apply those lessons to personal branding, content creation, portfolios, networking, careers and future opportunities.

No. Social media is one of the environments students learn to navigate, but BYFB is not a follower-growth or influencer-training course. BYFB isn't about teaching students how to get followers or become influencers. It teaches students to understand what their digital presence already says about them and make more intentional choices about what they want to share, create and keep private. Students explore how a thoughtful digital presence can support many different futures—from college and careers to athletics, art, entrepreneurship, technology or community involvement.
Students can create evidence of their interests and abilities, which may include a portfolio concept, original project, work sample, or content plan.
Each program includes one 1-on-1 hour session with your instructor. If your student wants to go deeper, we offer optional one-on-one private coaching session with one of our instructors. This hour is designed to help them:Get personalized feedback on their brand or business ideasWalk through mindset, marketing, or monetization questionsPrepare for investor presentations, school applications, or content launches➡️ Spots for 1:1 coaching are limited and often fill up early. You’ll have the chance to add this during onboarding after enrollment.
Students develop a Blueprint containing audits, values, positioning, boundaries, AI principles, content ideas, an original project or concept, opportunity goals, and a 12-month roadmap. Deliverables may remain private.
The Future Brand Blueprint is the final project that brings the 10 courses together. Students define who they are today, what they value, what they want to be known for, the audiences or communities they may want to connect with, how they want to use digital platforms and AI, and what actions they can take over the next 12 months to begin building toward their goals.
Not at all. BYFB isn't asking a teenager to decide what they're going to do for the rest of their life. Students explore their current interests, strengths and experiences and consider how those could evolve into projects, college interests, careers, businesses or communities. Their Future Brand Blueprint is a snapshot of who they are now—not a permanent definition of who they have to become.
